An energy audit of the Wabash County Hospital facility in September, 2005 identified six energy conservation measures. DAE recommended adding variable speed drives to air handler unit, elevator and domestic hot water pump motors, window replacements, and night setback. The energy cost payback and return on investment to implement these measures are 7.8 years and 12.8%, respectively, which will result in a 6.9% reduction in energy costs.
