DAE provided design and construction support for this 6,500 sq. ft. fire station. Built in 2000, design features included radiant heat in bays, split system dx with gas furnaces, fluorescent lighting, site construction, and a communications room.
Pike Township Fire Station
In this 2001 project, DAE provided design and construction support for this 6,000 sq. ft., 3-bay fire station. Project features included radiant heat in bays, split system gas heat for HVAC, surface mounted light fixtures and site lighting. Also included in the design were communication and gear rooms.
Noblesville Fire Station
DAE provided design and construction support for this new 4-bay, 8,200 sq. ft. fire station in Noblesville, IN. Project features were radiant heat in bays, split system-gas-fired furnace, dx units for HVAC. Additional features included low flow plumbing fixtures and showers, dual level switched lighting, site lighting and public walkway bollard lighting, and a communication room.
Brownsburg Fire Department
This project consisted of the building addition and renovation of the 19,441 sq. ft. Brownsburg Fire Department. DAE completed both design of new HVAC and modification of the existing HVAC system. Also included in the project was a new alarm system and building communications, modification of plumbing, new fixtures, and upgraded electrical service.
Clark Pleasant School Corporation – Whiteland High School
DAE identified, implemented, and evaluated energy conservation measures for Whiteland High School. Energy efficient and environmentally friendly materials were incorporated in their facility addition for LEED certification. Total project cost was $147,900.
Jasper County Public Library
DAE identified, implemented, and evaluated problems with energy conservation measures to upgrade the client’s lighting, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems. Total project cost was $88,000.
Indiana Government Center
DAE assisted client in identifying energy conservation measures, which will result in a 21% reduction in energy costs. On-site chilled water generation at IGC-South was recommended, saving over $97,000/yr in energy costs at no additional cost. Total project cost was $4,950,000.
Turkey Run State Park
DAE assisted our client in identifying energy conservation and environmental protection ideas for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). The certification included heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, lighting, water conservation, and alternative fuels. Total project cost was $250,000.
Blackford County High School
An energy audit conducted at this 158,000 square foot high school focused on 6 Energy Conservation Measures (ECM). Among those studied were VAV reheat system conversion, exhaust fan duty cycling, door vestibules, lighting reduction, swimming pool heat reclaim climate control system, and replacement of 450-ton chiller. Resulting implementation of the recommended ECMs reduced the electric bill for this all electric school over 19%, or $55,000 per year.
As a Certified Energy Auditor for the State of Indiana, DAE successfully petitioned the Department of Energy for a matching grant for Blackford County High School. Following the grant award, DAE helped the high school with several additional mechanical upgrade projects, such as chilled water system upgrades and VAV revisions to the HVAC.
North Harrison Community School Corporation
