Monroe County Community School Corporation Campus
Bloomington, IN
DAE has been providing MEP and Energy engineering services to MCCSC since the early 1990s. Our projects include:
Transportation
design of the 22,883 square foot transportation building. The transportation building features rain harvesting and daylight harvesting systems.
Administration
remodel and addition to the 30,103 square foot administration building. The administration building focused on design changes necessary for additional egress and bathroom needs. This included mechanical and electrical renovation, addition of an elevator and restrooms, new roofing, exterior wall treatment, basement waterproofing, partition modifications, depending on program findings, and general interior renovations.
Service
remodel of the 19,381 square foot service building
IT
4,041 square foot IT building remodel/addition. The IT building’s floor plan was expanded to 5,681square feet
Indiana University
Bloomington, Indiana
Multiple projects have been completed for IU. The central chilled water system was extended, with modifications for the systems at Assembly Hall and the Musical Arts Center. Mechanical and electrical design was completed for the ventilation system of the animal research laboratory.
Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Energy engineering services were provided for the renovation of the Wiley House barn on IU’s campus. This project is currently on track to receive a Silver LEED rating from the U. S. Green Building Council.
Indiana State University
Terre Haute, Indiana
Dede Plaza
Relocated site utilities (water, gas, sewer, power) and designed the fountain and three-block surrounding plaza.
Hulman Memorial Union
This $6.5 million HVAC, plumbing and electrical renovation of an existing 110,000 square foot building created recreational, office, food preparation, and meeting spaces. Included in the design was interface with the campus fire alarm and security systems.
Purdue University
West Lafayette, Indiana
DAE conducted initial investigations in two residence halls that led to mechanical systems upgrades.
The entire mechanical system was replaced for Harrison Hall, including the interface with campus chillwater and energy management systems. Hawkins Hall received an HVAC system replacement design after an indoor air quality survey and mechanical system serviceability evaluation.
H. Lavity Stoutt College
Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands
DAE planned and designed a central chilled water plant for a new community college in Road Town. The design of this plant, the only such chiller plant in the British Virgin Islands, gave attention to part load operating efficiency; this allowed for future growth, while keeping maintenance within the capabilities of current personnel.
